Special Session to Vote on the Budget

Special Session today/tonight to debate and vote on the state budget.

Three Democratic Senators — Doyle, Hartley and Slossberg — courageously crossed party lines to vote for the Republican budget proposal. Vote carried 21-15.

This — now bipartisan budget –is being debated in the House Chamber now. A budget that is balanced, protects education, municipal funding, public health and safety, transportation and the social service safety net. It also makes needed changes to make our government more responsible and responsive. Courage and common sense must prevail for the benefit of all in our state.
