Arrogance has no place in public policy

This video clip was taped during a Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee meeting on June 1st 2015 last year.  The legislative session would end less than 48 hours later. We were voting on the revenue side of the budget at this meeting.  I’m inquiring, of the House Chair of the Committee, if provisions of SB 1 were in this bill.  His answer is illuminating.

Simply, I don’t believe that arrogance has any place in the world of public policy.  Honesty and transparency are the key responsibilities of legislators.
